Chatbot aside: There's people who check for missing components before playing the game? Wouldn't you realize if you set it up? It's a used copy, the idea you'd send out items for a purchase you didn't even profit from is benevolence I'd feel very ashamed to abuse by not even playing before asking.

Well, I just had someone email us to request missing components... that don't exist for the game. He used a chatbot to "research" what might be missing from a used copy of the game and it hallucinated new components.

AoE2 was my first video game obsession and I spent years playing essentially just this. Haven't played it for almost 25 years. Installed DE and man, am I having a blast. Weirdly, my brain keeps telling me to click on certain icons without remembering what they'd do. Like, oh, flaming arrows, right!
