Just got served this hilarious AI ad, where, instead of saying, "Wow, das ist direkt auf meiner Scheibe!" (it's right on my windscreen!), the AI guy says "das ist direkt auf meiner Scheiße": Wow, it's right on my shit! I mean, it's obviously a scam, that's just Youtube ads now, but I did giggle.

Something that really gets to me is some English-speaking devs' unwillingness to commit to correct German in their nazi-killing games. Sniper Elite Resistance's terrifying miracle weapon is an unwieldy armored train that can launch rockets. But a "Zugwerfer" would be something that launches trains.

Okay, @bsky.app , your "search posts" feature sucks donkey balls. Here's a post of mine I wanted to check. Searching for "savewot" or "wheel of time", or "wheel" or "time" did not yield any results. This pedantry is a problem I'd expect from a web 1.0 forum.

Naturally, youtube's auto-dub feature is cursed, but I just noticed it's more cursed than I thought. The German auto-dub here inserted filler words like "uhm" and "er" and says "to be joined" twice. None of that is in the original. The auto-subtitles are perfect, and so is their google translation.
