I love Amazing Spider-Man #1000. I’ve sat with it for a few days now and let it marinate. I’ve read it multiple times. The main story and the Slott/Martin backup are both so special to me. Beautiful book altogether.

When Insomniac’s first Spider-Man game released, it was widely hailed as the definitive adaptation of the character. Fandom can be fickle! But Insomniac’s continued impact & influence across the Spider-Man landscape speaks volumes. (No doubt they’ll do Wolverine justice too.)

Spider-Man: Homecoming doesn’t get enough credit for how it adapts Ditko. I love how the Ditko cast (Flash, Liz, Ned, Betty, May, Vulture) is modernized & brought to life. I’ve also come to appreciate how it hides MJ, just like in Ditko. Not to mention the amazing homage to ASM33…

Hey @danslott.bsky.social any chance you’d be able to tell that one dark Spidey story you’ve hinted at in later issues of Spectacular if/when it makes it past the first five? The Death of Jean DeWolff and Kraven’s Last Hunt are also part of the Spectacular legacy, after all!

I have a new favorite series! Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is an adaptation of Spider-Man unlike any other, and it’s all the better for it. Congratulations to @mrjefftrammell.bsky.social and the whole team on an amazing first season.
