Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 08/10/2026It’s probably too early to make declarations like this, but I could totally see Midnight becoming my favorite Spider-Man run since Superior, if it stays this good! 1135
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I love Amazing Spider-Man #1000. I’ve sat with it for a few days now and let it marinate. I’ve read it multiple times. The main story and the Slott/Martin backup are both so special to me. Beautiful book altogether. 150
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Clearly, you don’t know how many times I’ve googled “Gabriel Hardman Spider-Man” looking for any commission or sketch you’ve done of my favorite character! 010
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I read Amazing Spider-Man #1000 over the weekend and I was completely blown away by I Can Never Rest. Won’t spoil it, but I loved your approach. One of your best collaborations with Martin to date. 020
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 24/09/2026An eventual team-up story with Turncoat, Spider-Boy, and Wraith feels inevitable. 110
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 23/09/2026RIP Joshua Cassara. At SDCC 2024, Josh drew a small Spider-Boy for me. He was a lovely guy, and one of my favorite artists… 062
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 19/08/2026So glad the series will continue past the first five issues after all! Congrats! 010
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Spectacular Spider-Man is officially an ongoing! Couldn’t be happier about this news. Excited to keep following & supporting the series. (Hopefully, forever!) 180
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 14/08/2026When Insomniac’s first Spider-Man game released, it was widely hailed as the definitive adaptation of the character. Fandom can be fickle! But Insomniac’s continued impact & influence across the Spider-Man landscape speaks volumes. (No doubt they’ll do Wolverine justice too.) 041
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Hope they put Johnny Storm in the next one and call it Big Time! 🙏 010
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 31/07/2026I’ve only seen BND once so far, so it’s totally possible my opinion changes, but for now I think I still prefer Homecoming, Spider-Man 2, and Into the Spider-Verse, personally. 110
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 27/06/2026Spider-Man: Homecoming doesn’t get enough credit for how it adapts Ditko. I love how the Ditko cast (Flash, Liz, Ned, Betty, May, Vulture) is modernized & brought to life. I’ve also come to appreciate how it hides MJ, just like in Ditko. Not to mention the amazing homage to ASM33… 081
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 20/06/2026I’m hoping for the Jackal, Spider-Slayers, and/or Gargan Venom. 🤞 010
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 19/06/2026The title alone is making me emotional already! “Now I Can Rest” Can’t wait to read it! (Definitely grabbing this cover too.) 🙏 010
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 18/06/2026Yeah, it reminds me of how, towards the end of his ASM run, Slott introduced the science section of the Bugle. That was a cool way to flesh out the familiar concept that is the Bugle and approach it from a new perspective. Felt equally refreshing to introduce this unpublished story morgue idea. 🗞️ 110
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 08/06/2026Meanwhile, I’m just over here waiting for a Big Time Omni. 😪 020
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 22/05/2026I love Robbie Reyes. I love this run. I love your art. Can’t wait. 🔥 011
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 13/05/2026Spectacular Spider-Man: Brand New Day #1 is a fun jumping on point for new readers that long-time fans can still appreciate & enjoy. Solid street-level Spider-Man shenanigans, with a few nods to continuity, and some stunning Marcos Martin recap pages! 2183
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 25/04/2026Is there a way to get this cover as… not-a-retailer? 👀 100
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 07/04/2026Hey @danslott.bsky.social any chance you’d be able to tell that one dark Spidey story you’ve hinted at in later issues of Spectacular if/when it makes it past the first five? The Death of Jean DeWolff and Kraven’s Last Hunt are also part of the Spectacular legacy, after all! 131
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 18/03/2026Please make sure to pre-order and add Spectacular Spider-Man: Brand New Day to your pull lists, everyone! Would love to see this become an ongoing. 0104
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 25/02/2026Might be my favorite issue North’s written to date. Ramos is such a perfect fit on Fantastic Four. Looking forward to the rest of this arc, and whatever follows. 🚀 110
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 20/12/2025However, I can quickly lose interest in even the coolest of premises if I don’t care about the characters, or their struggles. And sometimes it’s issues that don’t move the larger narrative forward that get you the most invested in the characters and their feelings. So, it depends! 🤷♂️ 010
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 20/12/2025When it comes to any kind of story, I’m usually happy as long as it can move me emotionally, or cause me to reflect/react in some way. But as a monthly reader, I definitely feel most engaged by books with some ongoing narrative build-up, a good hook/twist, and of course: pretty art! ✅ 120
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 20/12/2025It’s been around much longer than that, my friend! (Source: Amazing Spider-Man #562) 050
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 18/10/2025Last bit: Tyler and I have actually never met in person.Gvozden and I have: we share some IRL connections. I wouldn’t describe the folks on the Slack as a bad crowd or toxically positive, but all the drama is a shame. Apologies again for ever adding fuel to the fire. 220
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 18/10/2025I’ve enjoyed the anonymity of not being known as the Carlos from Twitter here, but yeah. No worries about the AI confusion, I myself told Tyler he made his letter too similar to mine when we sent them LOL. But he thought it was cuter that way, and it did lead to the past couple days of hilarity so. 110
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 18/10/2025Two years later, lots has changed but still trying to be nice. Disagree about my discernment and taste of course... Feel like we agree about politics and music to be fair. 010
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 18/10/2025I prefer Shangri La by Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist. 😌 010
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 18/10/2025Blocking you for this was silly of me. Not block-worthy at all, on its own. It was just a “straw that broke the camel’s back” situation for me that day. Sorry. Wanted to patch things up and hash it out afterwards for closure at least. But figured it was for the best to let it be. 110
Carlos Ivan @crlsivan.bsky.social · 09/10/2025Por fin leí Barrier y me encantó. 151
