My current audiobook is @tkingfisher.com’s Astarion and my current ebook is @brandonsanderson.com’s Fires of Dec. the result is I now read Hoid’s narration as @neilnewbon.bsky.social’s Astarion. I think I have inadvertently altered the Cosmere and the Forgotten Realms in my head cannon. #booksky

Listening to @neilnewbon.bsky.social narrate @tkingfisher.com’s Astarion book is a delight and a form of emotional damage. Beautifully written, incredibly performed, and full of absolutely wretched trauma. Five stars so far, but I will need therapy when it’s over. #booksky

Feet of Clay, by Terry Pratchett. Such a great book and so prescient for the world today. A great, fun read, with a poignant and powerful message, delivered by a cast of characters equal parts imaginatively fantastical and deeply relatable. www.goodreads.com/book/show/21...

PTO is great for catching up on reading… This was a good, not great, read. I have a hard time recommending this one for all readers. However, if you love slowburn British fantasy and a late 19th century setting, then you likely would love this book. www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Sure, I’m biased toward high fantasy—but sometimes a simple, hopeful story is exactly what you need. This book is a great reminder to keep doing the small good things and not to lose hope in an often hopeless world full of wicked men and their dragons. www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
