Today's welcome rain was the most I have recorded in a day since 18th February. It was a rather wet January and Feb, like 2025. The first 9 months of 2022 were really dry!

I wonder, if like last year, we will get early berries? Hawthorn berries developing in June and turning colour by July? Perhaps 🤔 Along with the amount of blossom, the conditions in spring 2025 was perfect for pollinators- sunny settled and dry. So this year? And will berries remain on bushes again?

Amazing to see so much Hawthorn in bloom already! Some still have berries from last year! Even some Blackthorn and Dog rose at Knepp have 2025 sloes and rosehips! Wayfaring in bloom at the same time as Blackthorn peak! Also apple a d cherry in bloom now. So advanced and together!
