Butterfly's "Synthesis report human dimensions of pollinator decline and restoration" is out! Find out what the 18 facets of pollinator-human relations are that were identified in the Multi Language review across the 13 languages of Butterfly's consortium. butterfly-europe.eu/deliverable-...
Through our multi-language review, we found many hopeful narratives, especially in the areas mentioned above. We found stories and experiences from farmers switching from conventional to organic farming (e.g., Telling, 2011; Lemvig, 2020), municipalities becoming pesticide-free (Boesen, 2025), mutual benefits for pollinators and humans of pollinator gardens (Batemen, 2023) and stories of kinship (Lindholm, 2023). Concepts building on multispecies ethnography such as ‘playful work’ (Ellis, 2022), multispecies kinship (Meloni, 2019) and multi-species urban spaces (Pettenati, 2023), as well as indigenous cultures and knowledge, can inspire and show that a care relationship is
possible. Generally, this deliverable itself should be seen as part of slow hope, as it presents hopeful narratives about the various ways humans relate to pollinators, become ecologically aware, and act as individuals or communities to restore them. It will influence and inspire the other Butterfly work packages with its results, form a basis for new research and motivate citizens and policymakers to take action.

natureza terrestre, a subsistência, a saúde e o bem-estar humanos, a competitividade,
As
incluem a agricultura, o ambiente, os produtos químicos, a investigação e a inovação,
o comércio, as finanças, o planeamento, a legislação e a educação.
As borboletas diurnas e
agricultura e a floresta.
