The whole scene is set in a dim, pinkish, dreamy light. The main light source is the yellow and pink lamp on the shelf.

Don't get me wrong, art depicting mundane Slice-Of-Life scenarios within the Pokemon world is cool - but it's 1,000% better and way more interesting when the featured Pokemon are unconventional freaks (affectionate) instead of just the marketable domestic-type ones
