This is what the area looks like. Wide stroads, no crosswalks.

Since I'm playing with maps, I'd venture to suggest that this area of Crozet probably has more tree coverage today than it did in 1957.

And in 1937, the land still wasn't forest, it was an orchard.

This is such needlessly NIMBY framing of this project. The single-family house adjacent to the project lot was built in 1962. Crozet was not designated a growth area until 1971. Here's a satellite photo from 1977 showing the lot and a MASSIVE adjacent area were already cleared for farming.

Apparently the landlord at Old Trail realized that renting out a massive restaurant space is difficult when the tenant is expected to foot the bill to finish the space.

So no mention of general enforcement in that lane, but maybe at least the police vehicle won't be parked illegally.
Good afternoon Mr. Crenshaw,

I wanted to follow up with you on the previous parking complaint. Let me start by thanking you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. This matter has been addressed directly with the officer involved, and steps have been taken to ensure this does not continue. We take concerns like this seriously, and your feedback genuinely helps us do better.

We appreciate the partnership with our community members.

We are aware of this matter and have addressed it with our staff member. As it pertains to the other vehicles, the District Commander is aware. I will ensure that he makes contact with you as well.

Thak you for reaching out to ACPD.

Quick tour of the new 240/250 roundabout in Crozet. Functional but still very work-in-progress. It's already a LOT nicer entering 250. I'm a little worried that 250 through traffic west->east won't slow down enough, but will wait to see the final product.

Okay dems, I love celebrating the W's but details matter. I see the same _headline_ going viral on various social media, but it seems no one is clicking the link. Spanberger didn't end the agreement, she just rescinded the order that required participation.
And Saturday, shortly after her inauguration, Governor Spanberger signed an order that gives her "the option to remove Virginia State Police from this agreement," according to a gubernatorial spokesperson.

Spanberger had promised to nix the order on the campaign trail.

When asked if or when she expected the relationship between the state and federal agencies to end, the spokesperson declined to comment.

Currently working on infiltrating Crozet. Step 1: live here. Step 2: go to Bar Botanical on a ~weekly basis to scout out the place and enjoy delicious cocktails.
TJ Smith
I'm personally more interested in Livable Cville's attempts to infiltrate Crozet as hiahlighted by their upcoming sociak hour at Bar Botanical. Perhaps they'll be able to explain at this gathering how initiatives proposed by their leadership such as eliminating vehicular lanes on
key commuting routes for Crozet
residents (Ivy Road and 5th Street)
replicating the city's new anti-SFR zoning code in the county and a scorched earth approach to building so-called affordable housing will promote livability for Crozet residents.
