What did everyone think of Joe Carnahan's The Rip? I really enjoyed it. It was pretty good for the first hour and then got very good for the rest. My only criticism is the near impossible to hear/understand dialogue, punctuated by deafening gun shots. Had to resort to subtitles.

The Nuremberg film is very good. It has an important message nobody will listen to.

It is why he is called 'Bubblegum Yaga'. I truly don't know why people turn off comments and quote posts on BlueSky. Everyone on here is nice and there is proper oversight.

I don't know. The Roofman could have done with "A depressing drama and not at all what this poster depicts" on it.

The moon tonight is absolutely incredible. I managed to take this with just a 250mm zoom lens. Amazing!

Ed Miliband giving real Firestarter vibes in this photo.

Three great painted halls in one year! Munich Residence Old Royal Naval College Sistine Chapel I know photos are not allowed in the Sistine Chapel, however the boy may leave New Cross, but New Cross never leaves the boy.

I wish I had seen Sinners in the cinema. Partly because the cinematography is gorgeous. But mostly because you all massively oversold it. It is a really good film. That's it, no more. Not some masterpiece that should be winning all the oscars. Just a really good film. And that is great.

The Great Flood is a truly excellent film. I know people knock Netflix originals, and sometimes rightly so. Trust me, this one is amazing. Instantly one of my favourite films of the year.

Just finished episode 1 of Amadeus. This is amazing. I might have to binge the whole thing. The cast is great but Paul Bettany is working on whole other level, there is a certain irony in that. @joebarton.bsky.social never misses!

If they ever do a Captain Scarlett live action remake, you would be a shoe-in for Captain Black

Relay with Riz Ahmed is now on Amazon Prime. Excellent movie. If like films such as The Conversation you will also like this. Sure, it is a little obvious what is going on, but the execution is great.

I would much prefer if in McDonald's, instead of saying "Yes" before calling the number, they instead said "Hear me now"

Absolutely loved Tornado by John Maclean. Not at all what I was expecting. Tense, beautifully shot and with really great understated performances. This will become a classic over time.

Didn't expect a new episode of Garth Marenghi's Dark Place on HIGNFY tonight.

This Making Tax Digital (MTD) malarkey really winds me up. "You will need to: get commercial software that works with Making Tax Digital". So I need to pay for software to have the priveledge of paying HMRC! It's outrageous, they should offer the software for free, or deduct the cost from my tax

If the Sky Virtual Assistant is the best AI can do, I think humans will be safely in work for the foreseeable future. A Speak & Spell has more intelligence.

John Wright @creativechamber.com · 13/11/2025

@legaleagle.tv have you seen Task? I am really enjoying it, but I don't understand why the FBI are investigating. Surely this is a state matter and not a federal crime. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Eden is superb, easily one of Ron Howard's best. I didn't know he directed going in, actually surprised as it shows more depth than most of his work. Could have been a classic but ruined Ana de Armas. Don't want to be mean, but I just don't get it. Awful in almost everything.

Does anyone know why Walkers crisps are 'Ready Salted' and not just 'Salted'? Does the "ready" mean anything? Not sure if this is the real Richard Osman, but this feels like something he might know @richardosman1.bsky.social

I paused 'The Hack', the Doctor is not looking his best. Sorry David Tennant, it was too funny not to post.

Watched A House of Dynamite. Totally unrealistic. There is no East Wing to White House.

Finally got a 4K player. Of course Blade Runner was my first purchase. At this point more of a spiritual experience than a movie. Like going to a sermon at a church. Sublime. Transcendental even.

Has anyone seen Les Misérables on the stage? Is it as bad as the film? I am 30mins in and I honestly think they are taking the piss. Like a comedy sketch mocking musicals as a format.

Good article. I know this is not really a solution but just checking you are aware that with Cloudflare you can block the AI bots

Do people think we would really fall for this? 1) A British company would never spell 'apologise' with a Z. 2) "we reach out" you are missing a 'will', even AI isn't this bad. 3) You have 0 followers

If you fancy a film that will make you feel all of the emotions, I highly recommend Code 3. Didn't know what to expect going in. Rainn Wilson is excellent.

That is a little unfair to Jimmy Carr. I think he offers pretty good advice without the misogyny and other awful views as Peterson. He seems to align himself with people I dislike but just on the basis of his advice he seems to mean well. For example...

Out of curiosity, I looked at your same post on the other platform. The replies are quite different. I really don't know why you still give Twitter the oxygen. It is no longer a platform of debate or a "marketplace of ideas".

Just got tickets to The Best of Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells I, II & III. I can't believe I am going to hear this performed live. So excited!

Hey Bluesky, why do I need to age verify to see a DM sent to me? I don't think the resulting message is harmful in any way, so the Online Safety Act should not be applied. I of course just used a VPN to view the message. This is all quite dystopian.

Against all expectations Happy Gilmore 2 is excellent. A properly funny comedy, almost on par (excuse the pun) with the first one.

I negotiated a discount today so good I need to rewatch Life of Brian.

I don't disagree with this, but the replies are hilarious. They are all like, nah we prefer real men that relax and eat. Like Chris Evans here. Hahahaha, come on. Even on his worst day he is in amazing shape, as are all the other examples.

The Tom Cruise Sci-Fi trilogy is pretty much unmatched. Just incredible films. I really hope he stops making Mission Impossible and makes more great films instead.
