I want to get back into writing, but because it would be such a huge commitment, I decided to try to learn to write poetry. After researching books, I think these four will give me a good head start. I doubt what I write will be good, but I just have some emotions that I want to share

Since I know that my writing skills are garbage 😅, I decided to purchase books on both nonfiction and fiction writing. There are also the poetry books I bought. After studying, I might practice writing fiction again by creating an alt account on Royal Road.

I wasn't expecting how scathing the author would be towards those who would try to remove Christians from society in an attempt to create a hyper-secularized society--describing how such efforts would remove the moral guardrails that protect against totalitarianism.

It often starts small like "don't talk about Jesus in a professional environment" or "be more considerate of other beliefs." Then it'll slowly escalate when you don't comply.

As I learn more about Christian history, I'm understanding that Christians are being manipulated and shamed into condemning a history that they don't understand. I say manipulated because how often those critical of our history stay quiet of the countless death under systems hostile to Christianity.

I think nonbelievers struggle with the idea that (as Christians) we don't think we're good people. I imagined it's hard to imagine people thinking they deserve eternal punishment because of something they did.

I think I prefer Christian morality. 🙏✝ • 100,000,000 people killed by atheism over just a few decades VS • 500,000 people killed by theism over 500 years Normalized: • Atheism (assuming 30 years) = 3,333,333 deaths per year VS • Theism = 1,000 deaths per year

Being on social media, if you're prideful, you'll inevitably encounter those who will try to use your pride against you. We're not here to win. Jesus has already done that. We need to focus on softening hearts.

As a nobody, I think it's important to rely on those who have more experience and wisdom than I do. The Holy Spirit will help with discerning what's right and what's wrong, but this is contingent on us building a relationship with the Father. Be cautious and try not to desire to be an authority. ✝️

Reading this helped reinforce the need for me to better understand the Trinity. While I won't understand even a fraction of the Trinity, I want to get to a point where I could walk someone through what the Trinity means for Christians.

I want to caution Christians who want to be full-time (or are full-time) on social media that our goal shouldn't be to "win" against those who don't believe in salvation through Jesus Christ. God is already victorious. ✝️ Our aim should be to soften the hearts of nonbelievers.

When we talk about the resurrection, I think about the burden of proof often demanded of us. Some skeptics expect a level of proof that isn’t even required in our justice system or throughout the study of history. This expectation seems both inconsistent and unfair.

When people mention a contradiction being found in the Bible, it's important to remember that such ideas are spread for clickbait reasons. A paradox and mystery isn't the same as a contradiction. Calling something a contradiction is to drive traffic and cause doubt amongst believers.

I watched this video on TikTok and thought this would be great as a learning example of how those who don't believe often present a problem, but it's only due to how they intentionally frame it. ✝ The TikToker talks about John 18:4-5 and Matthew 26:48-49. This is part 1 of 4 of the video.

Those who doubt events described in the Bible, reading this and similar pages that support what occurred feels vindicating as a follower of Jesus Christ. Nonbelievers frequently demand extrabiblical sources/evidence, not realizing the sheer number of evidence supporting the contents within the Bible

Maybe I should to a fanfic of DanMachi, where there's a follower of Christ living in Orario. While the main story is moving along, in the background, side characters notice a man who doesn't appear to be connected to any Familia. The individual is often seen just eating a loaf of bread.

The fact that there are Christians who doubt the divinity of Christ, we should be moving away from seeker-focused churches and focus more on strengthening the faith of those who have a minimum foundation of what it means to be Christian. Clearly, churches are underestimating the world.
