Oblation is a really tough pill to swallow, but I think is a little underrated. Reverent Mantra is a nice finisher. Ray of Distortion is a flashback disenchant. Shining Shoal has some utility as a combat trick.

I'd like to say it's a shame Chris Pikula hasn't been inducted into the Magic HoF. I get that we're quite a while out from his relevancy, but he was integral in the earlier days of the professional scene to give it some integrity.

How'd you get in touch with him? I sent an email a few weeks ago but no reply.

There are a plethora of fan made formats where the game is thriving in spite of wotc!

CrazyCarl @crazy-carl.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

Your guides are great, the prices WotC is demanding is not. To do a two headed giant with my kid would cost nearly 100 dollars! Tough pill to swallow for 3 rounds of sealed deck lol.

Oh, and as a reference to the card, not the player. I misunderstood because I'm a Magic player and thusly bad at reading.

I always view it in a positive light.

It seems bad, but it's exciting that it's playable now!

Vintage Magic the Gathering art! What a surprise to learn that an unpublished oldie for Magic finally gets a release! There are a couple more in their archive that have yet to see the light of day, so you never know.🤞

It's been awhile, so here's a deck photo from my 9th place finish at a 62 player event over the weekend. First time running Tog through a big event, but the deck was a blast to play
