Not sure I trust the sources, but Goreztka would be a great free transfer. Him, Jackson (if Watkins goes) and THB and the players coming back from injury, and dare I say it, but we have more squad depth than at the start of the window.

My prediction: We start the season slowly. Lose some games we should be winning. In the bottom half in October. Then it clicks, Emery does his thing, we make a really good signing in January and finish in Europe and Villa "influencers" will delete their overreacting tweets and podcasts. #AVFC

I'm really excited about Zion Suzuki. It's very rare for Villa to get in on the ground floor for one of those players everyone knows will be world class. Like, we did it with Rogers, but no one knew he would be so good. But people have been talking about Suzuki for years.

In a match where PSG had some of the best players in the world on the pitch, Hemmings was the best player imo. Has grown so much since getting hooked at half time against Salzburg. Looks confident. Reminded me of when Ramsey was breaking into the first team during the covid season.
