yesssss this like, the early zones are just sink or swim, and then once you learn how it teaches you, you've *got it* I did a pass through the crypts to look for missing collectibles before going to the finale, and was wowed by how it felt so breezy, despite not having changed my trinkets much

He does, a fair bit actually! Been thinking of dripfeeding out some lore on him over time, happy to answer questions. The church thing, it's 'mostly' a joke. Much as the big oaf tries, he doesn't blend in too well. So sometimes he likes to lean into his monstrous reputation, for better or worse.
