My father died 47 years ago today. Since I was 16 this date has always been about memories of the dead. May light perpetual shine upon you Dad. I miss you. It’s also the anniversary of the US Constitution being signed. Which is also dead. I’m glad you missed all this, Dad.

This seems to be all the rage. I did the full 148 question version. It’s not a huge surprise and “feels” right. Funny that they’re calling it a “New Mexico” dialect when I’ve spent less than 24 hours in the state.

A heatmap-type picture of the continental US with the strongest red over the majority of Texas and New Mexico and the strongest blue in New England and the Dakotas. The dominant color is a pale red that, to me at least, seems to be saying my dialect isn’t too dissimilar to the rest of the country.

I think it's worth noting that nothing is being done now. Johnson has kept congress home for most of the year over the Epstien files. The two year average is 284 stand alone bills passed. This congress has passed 38....they hold all 3 branches. These are not serious people.
