Currently reviewing buttons that were nested inside of hyperlinks so the hyperlinks would “look like buttons” Good job everyone. Drain a lake to make a ball of dumb

I didn't like shop owners having to be stuck standing behind their shop counters all day, so I added this tiny little interaction so that they could wander about freely while still being findable and interactable.

The amount of working artists I've spoken to who are losing or have lost the ability to make a viable career out of it due largely to people's use of genAI instead of hiring artists is genuinely so upsetting. We won't know what we've lost until it's gone.

This is arguably one of the most "Hveragerði" photos I've taken. The river Varmá flowing past Reykjafjall mountain. #iceland #nature
A river runs past a mountainside. Steam rises here and there throughout the landscape.

“Memory prices are up 500% in the past year — because of AI – Pivot to AI” pivot-to-ai.com/2026/08/19/memory-p… If you ever wondered why many gamers are so anti-"AI", it's basically destroying their hobby by making everything unaffordable.

Memory prices are up 500% in the past year — because of AI
AI companies did deals last year to buy almost all the memory in the world. Memory prices in the US are now 5 to 10 times what they were just a year ago. [Tom’s Hardware] Gigabyte has launched a ne…

Back in March, I shared a bit of a sad update on my unhoused friends. Cops raided their camp and took everything they owned. Within the week… Mike had relapsed Manny got arrested for stealing copper Ron was all by himself But last Friday, I got an amazing phone call from Mike! Sometime over the winter, he checked himself into rehab. He’s several months clean now. He’s doing therapy to address the trauma that’s caused him to use.

I'm helping a former client of mine source candidates for a fulltime remote developer position, based in the US! I'd love to continue working with them but I can't due to my location. You'd be working on Audiom, an audio-based map viewer that allows blind and low vision people to access maps.

My favorite "new" CSS trick is one that's been around for a while, but I somehow just discovered (maybe rediscovered?) It's on how we can have a conditional border-radius that turns off if an element is full-width, either of the viewport or it's parent. youtu.be/rqjAx7lQo04

When I was young, you had to go to Vegas or somewhere shady to gamble. Now it’s everywhere in my life: - in my pocket, - advertised on TV, - in my kid’s video games, - in my professional development. The essence of “Just roll the dice one more time…” is everywhere.

So this used to be the power station for a wool mill back before there was even a town here in Hveragerði. #photos #iceland

A ruined house, now just brick walls with no roof, built next to a river. The banks of the river are covered with greenery.
That same house from a different angle. Now you see the steps in the path that runs along its side.
