We took advantage of the final days of dawn-to-dusk sunshine (for now, anyway) to head up Rhobell Fawr in Eryri/Snowdonia National Park. This ancient volcano stands on its own, providing remarkable views of Snowdonia's southern summits (it's Cadair Idris in this shot). #snowdonia #eryri

Keep an eye out for these boxing bounders on your walks over the next month or so. Brown Hares are normally creatures of darkness, grazing by night or at dusk or dawn. But in early spring you can spot them in broad daylight, as they race and chase and turn on each other in fur-flying boxing bouts.

Stewart Stonehewer has logged each of his walks over the past 50 years, and plans to hit 30,000 miles on his 90th birthday in July.
