We do not spend nearly enough time talking about the fact that the foil freaks from Reynolds Wrap built a deep-submergence vehicle to prove the utility of aluminum construction and then we had to use it to recover a hydrogen bomb that the US military lost at sea.
A submarine built by the company that makes aluminum foil.

House Republicans on Thursday advanced a package aimed at expanding protections for children online over vocal opposition from Democratic lawmakers, who said the package had been weakened and could actually put more kids at risk, Cristiano Lima-Strong (@viacristiano.bsky.social) reports.

There have been several executive orders essentially declaring protestors, "antifa", as terrorists and saying that NG/ICE have a right to use lethal force to defend themselves. Obviously EO aren't laws, so interesting if that's the rationale or if Administration said they'd provide cover for them

There is a post circulating on Bluesky encouraging the moving of a frozen turkey straight into a pot of hot oil. We are combating this misinformation the best way we know how - through the power of dance music.

Not only do Americans face the rise of COVID again, but the vaccinations are not available - We scheduled an appointment with our local CVS and were told when we arrived that they had no idea when the vaccine would be available. #RFK,Jr. is going to kill Americans. #ProudBlue #DemVoice1 #Pinks

Voting Integrity Executive Order recommends usage of the national death register which Elon was already found to be manipulating to official "kill" people. You may show up to vote and find out that you've been dead for 6 months.

Honest, peer reviewed, double blind, widely accepted, with a large sample size. Yes, that is how science works. However, what I'm certain will happen is Heritage Foundation will fund a group of scientists that already believe vaccines cause autism to fit the narrative and not look any further.

They just signed the "Make America Healthy Again" Executive Order, which requires a study of what is causing childhood illness. This is a veiled way for " vaccines cause autism" to become official policy.

Two weeks ago Chris Rufo responded to a tweet by Will Stancil confirming that, indeed, his anti-DEI work is not about corporate DEI trainings, but about undoing the Civil Rights movement. Just putting this here for the record in case there's any doubt about that.

Guys when Chris Rufo and Trump say "We're destroying DEl, we're salting the earth underneath it" and they're repealing regulations that reach back to 1965, they're not talking about corporate diversity trainings.

They are talking about civil rights

We can argue about whether Musk was honoring Hitler and wishes a return of the third Reich, or if he's just an edgelord that spends too much time in 4Chan and thought it was funny "for the lulz". But we cannot argue whether he did a nazi salute, that is an incontroversible fact.

Isn't that the basis of The Art of The Deal and like the most basic negotiating tactic? Make an extreme offer first so that when you come down to what you actually want it looks like you're giving the other person leverage.
