Strongly agree. I also like to drop a can of smoked oysters/mussels or mackerel fillets in for bonus protein, and, if I'm feeling like something spicy, a small dollop of the Calabrian chili paste from Trader Joe's (their jarred harissa is very serviceable here too). No additional prep, still cheap.
