A good way to see the issue mentioned there in action is to read Rifts books, because Kevin Siembieda can't comprehend dice probability but has sometimes employed people who do

The introduction to the Super-Spy class in Rifts Mercenaries (written by C.J. Carella, who has some understanding of normal distribution), a spy with superpowers of some sort. The minimum stat requirements (rolled 3d6 down the line) are one specific attribute at 11, one at 10, and one at 12, which is hardly guaranteed but should happen often enough.

The introduction to the Safecracker class from the same book (written by Kevin Siembieda, who has no idea how normal distribution works), a class that's supposedly about cracking safes (but doesn't have the Safecracking skill...). The stat requirements include one at 10 and two others at 14 each, which will almost never happen. Also features a rant about good-aligned safecrackers never using their powers for personal gain because we really needed that.

There have been two occasions in my career where I had to go to war with teammates against mistaken understandings of probability. In both cases, it was because people expected large numbers of d6s to occasionally result in maximum damage. But the curves for 3d6 and 15d6 (e.g.) look like this:

The description for choosing 双子宮 (Gemini) as your astrological sign of choice in Lady Knight Saga (which determines weapon type, skills, and stats). The weapon type is listed as 玩具 (toy) with a red monospaced VERY HARD in parentheses after it. The description reads: "専用のスキルが存在しない、武器とは呼べない武器。その代わり装備ごとに、様々な異なる特性を保有している。" ("Lacking any particular skills, this can hardly be called a weapon. On the other hand, the available equipment has its own particular characteristics.")

The starting weapon given by choosing the aforementioned option, the 聖騎士の玩具剣 ("Holy Knight's Toy Sword"). The description reads: "玩具メーカー　『トゥインズ』製の玩具の剣【攻+1／主人公】" ("Toy sword made by the toymaker 'Twins' [Atk+1/Protagonist]")

you would expect a game with symbol encounters that just move randomly instead of actively tracking you to be even more of a tsujigiri simulator than most symbol encounter games turns out there are solutions to that issue

A dungeon area in Eclipse Knight Saga. Ahead of where my character is there's a section that's one tile wide, with an encounter symbol wandering around it (which obviously can't be avoided while it's in that section). The area my character is in is only two tiles wide aside from a single three-tile rank where the third tile is connected to nothing and thus useless for dodging anything, and there's more narrow spaces behind me.

An "injured man" (so says the nametag) in Eclipse Knight Saga: "オレは…サンドワーム専門退治屋…" ("I'm...a sandworm extermination specialist...")

"だがあれは…サンドワームではない、気が…ううぅ" ("But that thing's...no sandworm, watch...ugh...")

The actual boss, the name of which is given as 惨弩ワーム, which is pronounced identically to サンドワーム for "sandworm". It's a somewhat goofy-looking robot worm with a giant drill bit head that opens up, a pair of comically tiny arms stuck onto the sides, and a metal plate bolted to it that has the kanji 平 (presumably read as "hira" in this case from previous context) written on it.

惨弩 didn't bring up any proper definitions when I searched it on Jisho and Wiktionary, but the individual kanji mean "disaster" and "crossbow" respectively.

I was a bit worried when they asked me to use this one character I only just recruited in a duel, but, uh, turns out that potential issue is covered

A system message in Eclipse Knight Saga: "この戦闘に参加出来るのはアップルのみです。アップル一人だけのパーティに編成し直して下さい。" ("Only Apple may participate in the following battle. Please reorganize your party so she is the only member.")

The screen shows two characters lined up for a classic Western-style duel, with three of my party members spectating. Apple is on the right side and has pink hair and a newsboy cap, while her opponent is on the left and has black hair and all black clothes.
