Most of my discomfort and insecurities lately have been felt after speaking up. It’s a paralyzing feeling when you use your voice to speak against those in power knowing it might come with criticism or consequences. This fear and anxiety is how they keep us quiet. It’s time to feel uncomfortable.

So I kind of went viral on IG/Threads for speaking against EM. I’m afraid to go back there because of the amount of hate I’m getting from space people. I just want to make sure this is a safe place… We all found that gesture unacceptable right?? Like it was what we thought it was right?

At least once a day I get distracted and cry out “LUIGI!!”😭 If it’s a bad day I’ll do it more than once. I’m sure my roommate is judging me.

Can you spot Mars?? 👀 🌕🔴I captured tonight’s full Moon and Mars passing behind it! Another #astrophotography bucket list item crossed off! ✅ 🔭 Svbony Sv550 📸 Sony A7iii #Astronomy

First shot with the new telescope set up! I made the purchase just in time to catch the Mars/Moon occultation tonight! If you’re in the Us look up at the Moon tonight and you’ll see Mars (currently at its brightest) pass right behind it! #astronomy

I just made an impulsive purchase of a new telescope for mental health reasons 😬👍🏽

I’m about to buy an expensive telescope lens just so I can disassociate for the next 4 years 🔭🤩

I just really want girl friends to plan trips with to go see rocket launches &chase the Milky Way. I want to plan fun space themed trips with other women looking for community & who are tired of going to events & museums alone. I love solo traveling but I want to make connections under the night sky

I think I’m most proud of my Andromeda photo because this was first time shooting and processing a deep space photo #astronomy

Anyone else watching #From? This show is like a mix of Lost and Fringe. Two shows I’ve obsessed over. And now I’m obsessing over this one…definitely recommend!

Throwback to my favorite moment of the entire year and my favorite photo that I shot of the year. ☀️🌕🌏🪐 Who else got photos of the #TotalSolarEclipse this year?? I wanna see your photos!

I’m still obsessing over the wormhole scene in #Interstellar. Seeing it in IMAX just hit differently. Also reminded me of the long exposure Star trails astronaut Don Pettit has been getting from the ISS…I’m obsessed. 🤩

Cosmic Rosie @cosmicrosie.bsky.social · 14/12/2024

I’m so jealous of those who have never seen Interstellar & are watching it for the first time in IMAX. I saw it in 2014 by myself at a small theater in Buffalo NY after my car broke down there while I was driving across the country. I was at such a low point & this film changed everything for me

040

Cosmic Rosie @cosmicrosie.bsky.social · 13/12/2024

Who else is going to see Interstellar this week?! I was supposed to go today but migraines are no good in IMAX so I’ll be going tomorrow. Even though I watch this one on the regular, I’m excited to cry to it in imax. Big cry’s for a big film 😭✨

First time getting the Pleiades like this on my new tracker and I caught a meteor! Seriously one of the best shots I’ve ever taken! First shot is 110 images stacked and 2nd shot is a single 1 min shot✨🔭 #womeninastro #astrophotography

I started a digital painting series of the planets and started with this infrared image of Jupiter from JWST. (My fav image ever) How did I do? I might make a sticker series with this and all the other planets 🪐 #spaceart

Just letting you know that Fly Me To The Moon is on Apple+. As a space marketer I can’t recommend this film enough. It’s fun and silly but also gives a great perspective on the marketing side of space travel. I felt like I could be in the room writing this film. Also they actually filmed it at KSC!

I never understood why people would go online and apologize for not having posted in a while. But right after I said on here that I was going to try to be more consistent and post everyday this month, I immediately went 1 week without posting lol and tell me why did I feel guilty? 😅

I’m over here stressed about work stuff but then I think about how 6 years ago I was so miserable struggling in a career that was so toxic & literally killing my will to live. Now I get to make art & content about space & help build brands who are inspiring others in STEM. Ok I feel better now 😅

I spent 7 days photographing Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) in October from my backyard in Arizona. By far top 3 favorite experiences of the entire year was watching the progression of this comet with the naked eye. ✨☄️ #astrophotography

I spent some time going through content I’ve shot but haven’t edited & I’ll admit I’ve been hoarding more content than I know what to do with. I’m going to try to challenge myself to post everyday for the rest of the month to try to start the new year fresh so I can make more content. We’ll see..😬

The best part about this film, other than the insane level of acting from Pedro, Paul and Joe…was seeing Rory McCann as the leader of the Praetorian guard. The only thing better than watching Pedro with a sword again was seeing Sandor Clegane in armor next to him. My GoT people will understand.

Today is the Trans Day of Remembrance 🏳️‍⚧️ 🕯️ I will always support trans rights. Trans people are not hurting anyone by living as their true selves. Anyone who thinks otherwise is uneducated, delusional, and clutching their pearls for no reason. The world has real problems - trans folks aren't one.

This is your daily reminder to stop comparing yourself and your journey to others. You’ll just have a bad day and you have too much to do to deal with that nonsense. 😖🥴😤
