We, internationally, need to do exactly what the Brazilians did and lead by example with: 1) Block all far right figures/accounts 2) Never share a far right account even to dunk on them 3) Never reply to a far right account even to dunk on them Completely cut their algorithmic advantage

Colored sketch commission for @lynsneakers.bsky.social

Commission for Lynsneakers. It depicts SynthV Teto Kasane in a white blouse with a brown ribbon around the collar, a dark brown corset with white ribbons, and a long brown skirt with a dark brown diamond pattern and white frills at the bottom of the skirt, and lastly black stockings and brown shoes with a dark brown ribbon on the front. She stands elegantly with a gentle smile, holding a pokeball in her hand. This is a version of Teto for a fanmade Project Voltage series of Teto as various Pokemon type trainers. This one is for normal type.

shit can’t even be copyrighted so those vapid shinkai lookalikes will eventually be looked on with disdain and forgotten because they are a pretty bunch of nothing and can’t maintain shot consistency. yknow, just like how self-destructive rental DVDs have been long forgotten. yall remember that?

back when CG animation was on the rise there were all these films popping up that (probably) looked impressive for the time but were later called weird and ugly. but now I feel like they are getting a cult following of sorts. and I just don’t feel like AI stuff will get a similar reevaluation

it’s not that pretty visuals aren’t important or a Good Thing to have but I will not care about them if they were made by glue-sniffers who don’t know what spline curves or blending modes or brush widths are. I have SEEN what can happen when someone gives a fuck. that’s a good story in itself!

why am I saying all this? because seeing the news of a Chinese AI movie bombing makes me think that hopefully we will be bored by the technical marvel of AI stuff and start demanding more from our entertainment, asking things like “what is the actual story behind this sequence of pretty images?”

110 1

windii's wingdings @cosmicmaria.girlonthemoon.xyz · 4h

the goddamn signature AI waxy haze was all over this fucking thing. bunch of shots that are just kind of arbitrary and don’t communicate any feelings one way or another. but most egregiously, besides the lipsync on the singer it didn’t feel like it was adequately timed to the actual music. phooey

110 1

windii's wingdings @cosmicmaria.girlonthemoon.xyz · 4h

I don’t feel like linking the video but much of it is the singer in a detailed and rendered anime artstyle moving around. it’s an animation style that would normally be extremely technically impressive if it were animated by man. but it wasn’t, so I’m moreso fixated on how it’s all just kinda vapid

windii's wingdings @cosmicmaria.girlonthemoon.xyz · 4h

an utaite I respect (she sang a Hamasaki song in a 2004 FMA fangame) posted a video for the first time in 2 years and it’s her cover of an anime song… set against an AI gen’d music video. and for all its gloss and Shinkai lighting, I feel like I’m gonna forget all about this video in a few days

The Starlight Children's Foundation is accepting donations on Eric Bauza's behalf, who was fundraising for the charity before he passed. It would be wonderful if you could donate or spread the word donate.starlight.org/fundraiser/7...

In Honor of Eric Bauza

I am fundraising to help bring smiles to kids in their most difficult moments.

Hospital stays can be overwhelming, but Starlight programs Gaming, comfy Hospital Gowns, Toy Deliveries, and more bring comfort, distraction, and joy, helping kids feel like kids even during the toughest moments. Provided to hospitals and families at NO cost, Starlight programs help kids cope with the stress, fear, and isolation of hospitalization.

When kids are happy, they are more resilient, more engaged with treatment, and more trusting of providers – paving the way for stronger health outcomes. Happiness can begin with you.

Eric and Caroline were in the midst of producing an incredible Powerpuff Girls fundraising event for this beautiful charity when he tragically passed away. This event meant so much to him, and we would be deeply grateful if you would consider honoring his memory by making a donation in his name.

We are all still struggling to comprehend this heartbreaking loss. Eric brought so much love, laughter, and light into this world, and we can think of no more meaningful way to celebrate his extraordinary spirit than by continuing something he cared so deeply about.

We know that helping children in need would have made him incredibly happy, and that every child whose life is made a little brighter through this fundraiser will be a beautiful reflection of the love he brought into the world. ❤️

SA2 Maria is the Maria I actually imagine having such a profound effect on Shadow that he would devote himself so intensely to her. those eyes could 100% stare him down, pause him in his tracks and take his breath away

windii's wingdings @cosmicmaria.girlonthemoon.xyz · 8h

I do believe Gens Maria is the best she has looked in 3D but she is deceptively hard to draw because of how round she is. so I draw SA2 Maria more often because her angular lowpoly glory is easier to grasp. she also has this sophisticated and alluring bisque doll charm that's so unlike anything else

Just going to say that fascism isn’t ever defeated. Elections may result with more progressive politicians, but those certainly won’t defeat it. The fight against fascism must be ongoing all of the time with various strategies by communities doing the work.
