Observation log - morning, 11°C. Reginald [crow] requested breakfast snack. Didn't collect. Left after several complaints. Thesis: - hates shutters (they're ugly) - hates leaf blower (who doesn't) Update: R. returned 20min later to collect snack after leaf blower left. We have a common enemy. #crows

I haven't seen Yen for months. At this point I believe something has happened to her. I miss her. Reginald was extremely nervous and easily spooked. He shows up again regularly now, but he's still anxious. Sometimes another crow accompanies him. Today he dared landing on the windowsill again.

It's because peanuts are not suitable for spring food because they're not suitable to give to the chicks the first weeks.... 😄 don't worry crow, peanuts will be back.

The poacher shot the bird and then disposed of it somewhere else, trying to hide his crime. But GPS history helped to reconstruct what happened, and the weapon was identified after a house search. Hopefully poachers feel less safe now and think twice. It also displays (2/3)

Vermutlich möchten die die Täubchen. Einer ist da auch ansässig. Aber neulich hab ich 5 auf einmal zusammen in der Luft gesehen. Und ich dachte die Kollegin bindet mir en Bären auf. Und seit letzter Woche seh ich einen jeden Morgen in die gleiche Richtung tief über die Straße und Häuser fliegen.

So geht das schon den ganzen Winter. "Kälteeinbruch! Riesige Schneewalze kommt auf uns zu!" Ich frag mich immer wo das bleibt... und dann neulich komplett ohne Ankündigung: Sturm mit Orkanböen und eimerweise Eiswasser. Es war grausam. Der Mantel (war auch neu imprägniert) hat's nicht geschafft. 😭🥶

Frohes Neues! Schön das die so entspannt sind. Unsere waren zwischendurch bissi nervös bei den Kanonenschlägen, vor allem unsere sensible Albino-Mimose, aber Blue hat's sich kurz bestätigen lassen, dass das jetzt noch nicht der Weltuntergang ist und hats dann einfach weggelabert.

Sowas geht gar nicht. Über zwei Wochen, da darf man schon ein bisschen mehr als nur knurrig sein... den würd ich rund machen, aber hallo. Wenn es da keine Sonderregelung gibt (z.B. lt. Tarifvertrag zum 15.) hat man mitunter Anspruch auf Verzugszinsen und evtl. Verzugspauschale. 🤬

If it's a healthy, attentive pigeon - good spot for being protected from raptors. Having your own security service. 😏 If it's a pigeon with any subtle weakness or injury - birb, you're in the danger zone. Keep your eyes on those crows or you're done. 👀
