Corey Press @coreypress.com · 7hPart Post a Vampire, part Seeking Advice. Should I keep darkening the shadows? I'm worried that if I go too deep I'll lose the readability of the scene and have a desaturated bleh. #vampire #minipainting #nerdlings #warhammer 3586
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 02/10/2026More vampire progress. Brought up the parts in light to their max, now to shade back down again. #warhammer #wip #minipainting #nerdlings #vampire 0613
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 01/10/2026Not exactly a miniature, but did some vampire model making at work for my annual October library display. 0110
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 30/09/2026Progress! Blocking in the color - the parts in the light will be much more saturated than those in shadow. Still not sure how I want to do her hair/skin yet. #wipwednesday #minipainting #vampires 0261
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 30/09/2026Huge thanks to @thatbennett.bsky.social for helping me get a LED setup for crisp shadows. Blocked out all but one LED on a photography lamp and that did the trick. #wipwednesday #minipainting #nerdlings #warhammer 1223
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 29/09/2026Planning out a spoopy October project and need some help. I'd like to stage a reference of this vampire standing in these shadows. What's the best setup to achieve that? Basic flailing with flashlight and cardboard has not yielded crisp silhouette shadows. #minipainting #advice #nerdlings #wip 180
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 28/09/2026More Deck of Many Colors referenced painting over a dreary nor'easter Sunday. #minipainting #warhammer #nerdlings #underworlds #ghost 1887
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 27/09/2026Deck of Many Colors in action. Pretty much exactly what I wanted - come home after a Saturday shift, draw a card and grab something off the pile and just get to it. #minipainting #nerdlings #warhammer #ninjon 1643
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 25/09/2026Actually played #infinitythegame last night and did pretty well, mainly due to a HMG TR bot rolling godlike and this Kinnara Scoutbot pretty much destroying the YJ player's flank. Vulcan shotgun, my beloved. #minipainting #nerdlings #wargame #cyberpunk 0514
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 22/09/2026In a bit of a hobby holding pattern as I wait for the Deck of Many Colors to fuel one of mini momentum, so have been doing a bunch of boring basing stuff that's not that sexy to share. So anyways, here's a Hadrey. #minipainting #nerdlings #fantasy 1444
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 18/09/2026Joan Cena. Sorry if she is hard to see, but I painted up a resin print of my local #infinitythegame mascot. Will likely use her as proxy for Pilot X because why not? See, Joan d'Arc is an in-game character and John Cena is from the area so... #minipainting #nerdlings #cena #infinity #cyberpunk 1459
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 16/09/2026#wipwednesday More very decidedly non-robot content as I continue to battle with my ancient foes - eyes and NMM. #minipainting #nerdlings #goblin #goblinmode 4948
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 15/09/2026After a weekend painting cyberpunk robots, treating myself to something in a completely different direction. #minipainting #nerdlings #fantasy #dnd 3987
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 14/09/2026A trio of remotes from #infinitythegame I finished up over the weekend. Imagine being the engineer who designed the spider bot just FUMIN' at the coworker getting all the design awards for "What if dog, but robot?" #minipainting #nerdlings #robots 0351
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 09/09/2026The Warhammer Alliance box showed up at work yesterday, so put a set of minis together to see what we are working with. Hopefully this year's crop of students are less savage so we can actually run the program and not do take home kits. #warhammer #nerdlings #minipainting #wipwednesday 0120
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 07/09/2026Nyarlathotep Bust by Ogareg Miniatures. Since I live in Arkham (Salem), I figured I'd use one of the graveyards HPL visited as my backdrop. #lovecraft #minipainting #nerdlings #cthulhu #arkham #salem 2384
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 04/09/2026More work on Bertie. I'd try to brighten up the brass more but I think that goes against his battlefield Johnny 5 demeanor. #konflikt47 #minipainting #nerdlings 1623
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 03/09/2026Started a Bertie. Have tried to post this like five times today but this app is trraaaasssh. #minipainting #nerdlings #konflikt47 #wipwednesday 31189
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 31/08/2026The weekend's efforts, a beast woman bust from Artisan Guild. #minipainting #bust #warhammer #nerdlings #fantasy #dnd 0351
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 28/08/2026Got gifted this. Am I in danger? How do you even paint these guys? Prime on the sprue then assemble or after assembly? Never really worked with articulated models before and know paint can mess with joints and fittings. #gunpla #gundam #model #nerdlings #mecha 280
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 27/08/2026Getting over a cold, so more mindless Reacher watching than painting this week. Still, found some motivation to start in on this Weird Boy I picked up at Ironweld this summer. #minipainting #nerdlings #warhammer #orks #wip #40k 0502
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 21/08/2026Okay, calling Ingot here from @twingoddessminis.bsky.social done. Been trying to practice my NMM on figures that have a bit of metal and she fit the bill! #minipainting #goblin #nerdlings 11059
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 19/08/2026#WIPWednesday Back on the gobbo train (toot toot). #minipainting #goblins #nerdlings 0313
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 18/08/2026Struggling through the jet lag haze to get back on the paint again. Started with a wizard I picked up from Midlam Miniatures. #minipainting #wizard #fantasy #nerdlings 0401

Corey Press @coreypress.com · 16/08/2026Vacation haul. Due to the Internet and 3D printing, most stuff is just a click away so I tend to focus on things that are small business, pain to ship, or just way OOP when visiting UK game shops. #minipainting #nerdlings 1210
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 03/08/2026Sorry for the non miniature content, Carlos is a very big boy. 080
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 29/07/2026old yeller nooooo Last #wipwednesday before vacation spent on some OSS remotes from @corvusbelli.bsky.social (If anyone has a rec for Best Newcastle Game Store, please lmk!) #minipainting #infinitythegame #newcastle #nerdlings #uk 0547
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 26/07/2026Hey, not bad for a tipsy 2 hour paint! #minipainting #nerdlings #bust #painting #booze 0883
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 24/07/2026Ruby Monday! Gave her a red coat cuz ruby, but the rest of her is my OSS color scheme. #minipainting #infinitythegame #nerdlings #cyberpunk 0352
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 23/07/2026Robot? Cyborg? Synth? Clanker? Android? Whatever she is, here's my modified Asura for #infinitythegame. I swapped out her stock meh head for a Posthuman UFO style head (aka best head). #minipainting #nerdlings #cyberpunk #infinity 1354
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 22/07/2026Okay, back to robots! Here's a Kinnara ScoutBot by @corvusbelli.bsky.social for #infinitythegame. I like this one cuz she looks like a baby Marut and maybe someday will grow up big and strong. (I do not know how robots work.) #minipainting #nerdlings #cyberpunk #wargame 1569
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 20/07/2026Mounted Slayer Dragoon on the prowl for the next beastie. #minipainting #eldfall #nerdlings #fantasy 0495
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 18/07/2026She's coming together! #minipainting #nerdlings #eldfall 1504
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 16/07/2026Here's my travel paint box I threw together last week. There are a few tweaks needed mainly around weight and getting the wet pallete and paints out easily. I wonder if my DIY sensibility is holding me back and this is a solved problem with an off the shelf solution? #minipainting #nerdlings 190
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 15/07/2026#wipwednesday Feeling better about the Eldfall cat/dog thing's fur. Waiting on the next round of baubles and highlights until I get the rider painted and in place. #minipainting #nerdlings #eldfall 0211
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 14/07/2026Been awhile since I've painted any volume of fur. Already feeling like I'm losing the plot here, so going to basecoat all the straps and bojangles before continuing to highlight/shade the fur. #minipainting #nerdlings #eldfall 0302
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 12/07/2026Oh shit! Best in Standard at #ironweld! Will have to take some better pictures tonight. #minipainting #nerdlings 4293
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 10/07/2026First class of the weekend done! Painted this walrus dude under the watchful eye of @hereticsandheroes.bsky.social #miniaturepainting #minipainting #nerdlings #ironweld 1323
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 09/07/2026Going to a local con, Ironweld, tomorrow to take a bunch of painting classes. Here's who I'm bringing along for the Wicked Brush painting competition. Still unsure what to bring painting-wise, so will likely end up with a chaotic jumble tossed in a tool box! #minipainting #ironweld #nerdlings 1241
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 08/07/2026Ruby Monday from @corvusbelli.bsky.social #WIPWednesday progress. Still a bunch of highlights and shading to do. #minipainting #infinitythegame #nerdlings #cyberpunk 0651
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 07/07/2026Ivya Volga, The Outcast Got distracted by cyberpunk, forgot to post the vampire in her final form! #warhammer #minipainting #nerdlings #ageofsigmar #vampire 111918
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 05/07/2026Shukra Consultant She's the best, drippiest sculpt in the new #infinitythegame box. Pity she will spend 90% of her time laying down on a roof. Pity her drycleaning bill! #minipainting #corvusbelli #nerdlings #cyberpunk 1451
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 01/07/2026#wipwednesday Vampire continues. There's still the omnishade spritz and highlights to do. I tac'd her on a plinth and I think that'll be her eventual home, tho need to think about the backdrop. Probably just something abstract as the bats complicate her profile. #warhammer #minipainting #nerdlings 1475
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 30/06/2026Vampire progress. Trying to take my time here. #minipainting #warhammer #nerdlings #vampires 316615
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 29/06/2026Since I own a resin printer, paying $30+ for a single character mini is usually a hard sell. BUT, I had fun painting that Vampire Lord and have (had) a bunch of store credit so... #minipainting #vampire #warhammer #nerdlings 0353
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 26/06/2026Mind Goblin from @twingoddessminis.bsky.social Realized I had not got my monthly dose of Vitamin G! #minipainting #nerdlings #goblin 2683
Corey Press @coreypress.com · 23/06/2026Vampire Lord! Not completely done with her, I think. Still have some highlights to mess with, but pretty happy with how the conversion came out. #minipainting #warhammer #aos #vampire #nerdlings 31058
