Seeing more of this "tip" to change your outgoing voice message on your cell phone if lost and your battery is low. Don't, far better use of your remaining battery time is have your position ready (something precise like grid co-ords or 3-words) and call 911, the call will be recorded.

Re Induction stoves: Ability to bring a big corn pot to a rolling boil in 3 minutes, seriously cool, the ability to incinerate an omelette in the time it takes to turn around and get a plate from the cabinet because you missed off and accidentally set turbo, significantly less cool

I love that Amazon is preventing me from buying water based contact cement since it thinks the price is unreasonable for contact cement. Water based is usually 5-10x more expensive but the algorithm doesn't see the difference. I'm only on Amazon because no Canadian hardware store stocks it.

Extended the lunch break about 20 minutes and finally finished the workbench decks. Now things can start returning to where they belong instead of the current shop-wide chaos. Nancy is irked her workbench is covered in my homeless tools and fixing that would be a good idea.

It should be possible to buy high spec kitchen appliances where the higher price is due to better quality parts, higher reliability and a longer operating life, rather than a "smart" wifi connection that enables me to start the dishwasher when I'm overseas.

Someone dropped a port-a-potty into the Rapide Plat Lock (middle channel of the Lock 23/SCUBA Palace Dive) near Morrisburg. Now the coast guard has to bring a crew in at taxpayer expense to recover it, good job whoever thought that was funny.

As a kid, one of the great things was that my parents had kept decades worth of National Geographic and Scientific American magazines. You could go into our basement and look up great articles on pretty much any subject in the sciences or engineering. Sad to see both fall from great to useless.

Just some quick math, to get to 25-50ppm of hydrogen peroxide you would need to add around 2-3000 gallons of hydrogen peroxide to the water within a day. I don't think they have enough bottles.

Not to scare people from SCUBA diving, diving within recreational limits is VERY safe. Most "dive" accidents in recreational dives are actually normal medical emergencies that happened to occur while the diver was underwater.

My dive group has a rule, anybody can call the dive at any time for any reason, and you cannot give them a hard time about it, not even a joke. When I go into a wreck, or anywhere there is an overhead restriction I run triple redundancy, strict gas planning, and strict pers and team procedures. 2/2

One drawback to a fairly professional audio system fed by my computer and guitar modeller is I can see how bad iTunes and YouTube are at consistent signal levels. Particularly in the age of digital with dBFS supplanting the old analogue volume standards it is easy to mix to a common level.
