now shut down. Steam made a "gazillion" games playable on Linux that weren't before. There's obviously still big issues like the price mafia thing, but I can't help but actually like Steam. When I first had a game running on Steam Deck, that felt really cool, an approximation of seeing it on Switch.

I think the problem, or the balancing point, is that from a consumer point of view, I find Steam pretty great. It's an online store, so I don't really own my games, but it does feel that I will be able to play all of them for as long as I live. Meanwhile a lot of console stores from back then are

I do seem to remember that they're being sued for this practice. Of course until that's settled in devs favor, probably best not to poke the bear as a small dev.

That said, I probably use scheduling for a video I worked longer on while I just push out something that was made "in one go" (usually still a few days of work 😅). (Not talking about game trailers I made, more my hobbyist videos (LEGO/retrogames))

The irony is that I have the opposite feeling with YouTube videos. If I just put it public immediately it gets shown way less in the initial algorithm-getting-a-feeling-for-what-the-vid-is showings, while scheduled for in a day or longer get more inital traction.

Looking through my emails, I received notifications when American Truck Simulator DLC's released. It turns out I had however wishlisted those after all. So now I'm not sure anymore about the emails. I do still think the pop-ups do happen even when not wishlisted, but how can I trust my brain now? 😂

I think it ends up at least in one of the popups when you start Steam, I think you also get an email automatically. I've seen those pass by and have never wishlisted a DLC before. 🤔
