I once appeared on a morning TV show & felt very important because they sent a chauffeur to pick me up in a fancy car. While Carrie’s mother had a lot of failings as a parent, I think that (in the framework of her religious beliefs) it wasn’t entirely unreasonable for her to think that her daughter was possessed by a satan. She was doing a LOT of stuff that looked super satany.

One time I dated a bat expert who worked at a bat hotline where 95% of her job was telling people not to touch bats because it’ll bite you and you’ll have to get a rabies shot. The last time I saw her she’d taken a bat home from work and took it to the pub in a cardboard box.

I confirmed this was the case, sent the plumber home and told him to let his boss know why we won’t be using them again. He seemed just as annoyed with the situation, and I feel bad for him. The deception is the really irritating part. Just say it’s an AI so I can say no, don’t try and trick me.
