We introduced Roux to ocean water, seaweed, breakwater hopping and Spring Point lighthouse, all at once! She loved navigating the granite; we only planned to take her a few rocks in but she excitedly kept going… It was a great start to Sunday.

Puppy socialization is the best hour of the week. Now Roux gets excited in the car when she figures out we’re heading to see her friends. 💙

We took Roux to puppy hour today and met a puppy from the other litter I was going to help foster in Dec - a Catahoula mix now named Sasha. She was cute but I’m happy we ended up with our girl. Here’s a Roux baby picture I found on the rescue site when I was looking at Sasha’s littermates.

I haven’t shared Roux in a while. She’s so good and getting so big, up 4 lbs in a month. This week she learned down, wait, paw, and high-five. So smart.

Yeah that’s about right. I threw away the first two, “slapdash” and “out of pocket”. No time for that nonsense. Three is my lucky number.

Trolled by ESPN is a hell of a way to wake up 🤣 In fairness my team was crap this year. Lucky to come in 5th.

Puppy was super rough tonight and it gets intense to redirect that energy. Whew. Whose idea was it to get a herding terrier mix lol? 🤣 We are working so hard to stay consistent and patient. Glad to have her calmed down and now catching up on the C’s game. ☘️ Plus she’s so cute.

We had a nice 🍂🍁 peepin drive today, lunch with my sister, and a quick hike to Houston Brook Falls. New England fall gloriousness. We visited some new towns and noted a few places to check out again.

My friend Nancy died in Jan ‘24 and this week I received a box of books from her library. I cried a bit but now I’m smiling. She had such great taste.

A nice afternoon at camp, celebrating my nephew’s first week of kindergarten. Never have I ever been so relieved to have a child enrolled in public school. Also we had lobster rolls and summer fruit cobbler!
