Good family times for my Dad's 75th today, with a roast chicken dinner followed by marshmallows over the firepit while the full moon came up. Now that he has #dementia, every celebration feels like saying goodbye a tiny bit more 💔

Nearly time to redo my little hallway nature shelf for autumn. I was lacking inspiration at the start of the summer but it filled up very nicely over time 🥰💚🍂

My front yard today. Over the last few years we have been ditching lawn and invasive plants and replacing them with native plants and trees. It amazes me how many new butterflies, birds, and animals we see. Don't be afraid to do it, even if just a little, in your yard. #nativeplants #butterflies

It's really super basic - just tomatoes, salt, a slice of butter, and usually I float half an onion in it and remove after stewing (didn't this time for dietary reasons). Simmer half-covered for an hour! If you search 'tomato butter sauce' you'll find it. Approx 1200g toms made two 380g jars.
