You hear lots of horror stories about terrible driving in Sicily, but I found it fine. There was one scary moment when a hot hatchback came squealing out of nowhere round a tight mountain bend, but we managed to avoid each other. Mostly good tarmac, with little traffic. 4/ #Motorcycle #Sicly

The coast road from Oliveri to Cefalu, with the magnificent Med to the right and majestic mountains to the left, is sublime. The Honda was happier in the mountains though, managed to coax 177 kph out of it, but it wasn't happy there. 3/ #Motorcycle #Sicily

The Honda is superbly suited for carving up Sicily's many magnificent mountain roads. The SS185 from near Castiglione to the north coast is a heavenly moto road, with a good chance of sending you there because it's difficult to tear your eyes away from the stunning views. 2/ #Motorcycle #Sicily

Man, motorcycle, and mountain. Magic! Took a splendid tour round Sicily on a rented Honda CB500X. Rode up Mt Etna in dryish condtions, rode down it in torrential rain with the road like a river, with water upto the footpegs. The Honda took it all in its stride 1/ #Motorcycle #Sicily #nature #Honda
