Yes, exactly. Sinn Féin, who were at this, have Irish unity as their primary goal.

NI independence isn't a thing. It was an idea thrown around during the Troubles by British Loyalists who were unhappy that the British govt wanted them to cut back on murdering Irish catholics. They felt with independence they could kill Irish people in peace. But even they realised it was stupid.

I once saw a British person claiming that, just like lots of British people have Irish ancestry, Irish people have British ancestry. Could not be convinced otherwise.

Irish, like Scots Gaelic and Manx, is Goidelic not Brythonic. UK citizens don't need to worry about Irish citizenship law (current, or these terrible proposed changes) as due to the Common Travel Area British people can move to Ireland without restriction.

@masnick.com Defragging once a year!? I used to run it daily on my first computer. With its tiny 41Mb drive fragmentation was never too bad, so an extra 30 seconds on boot up was no big deal. That computer, running DOS 6.0 (and Win3.1) with 1Mb of RAM did me until about 1998.
