The fun thing is that they're very close to scale with HO scenery, so I might honestly end up getting some HO scale buildings/trees to go with them - probably ones that look more toy-like, like the plasticville buildings perhaps

I was just gonna use gym mats tbh Something like this And in our case, the moisture we deal with comes through the walls since it's a basement >w< Thankfully the basement is designed to handle it, so long as the sump pump continues to work

The Gadwall Estate crew have managed to get their own "garden railway" going, not that it's powered at present... What it actually is, is our new TT9 (TT120 3ft gauge) stock all printed and ready! I just wanted an excuse to also show off the large scale figures as well 🤫

Resin 3D printed kits of all sizes. At the back is garden railway scale animal figures from our tabletop Willowmere County range. At front is a new TT9 / TTm kit of a Fletcher Jennings engine with coaches.

I'm unsure about how I'm gonna go about finishing the framed outer walls of this corner of the basement Plywood would be cheaper but wouldn't look as good when painted While drywall would look *much* nicer when properly smoothed and painted, but would be more prone to dampness...

I really gotta decide what I'm gonna do about the space this thing is gonna exist in Already decided a few things for the basement - Dehumidifier in the corner by our sump pump, to reduce humidity - Foam pads under the layout/surrounding area to make it nice to walk around

Longest engine that I'd probably stick on the turntable (if I were to get one) would be Bachmann's model of Gordon Which from what I've read online would *just barely* fit

Honestly I tried out just replacing the short spur with the turntable, and I kinda like it But I've also heard the Atlas turntable motor (which I'd wanna use to motorize it) is loud as hell, which I don't feel like listening to >w<

Yeah, it's just a bit longer than a 4x8, so I get more yard space And not really, tbh I have, at best, a 8x12 area to work with So if you take the 4x10 and add a 2ft gap to all but one side (ensuring I can reach every side of the layout to some extent), that area is filled up lol

Agh I took the controller back to the store Guy hooked it up to a pair of wires with a light and showed me that it does run power through the terminals Even let me take a new pair of wires for the track for free But it still won't work at home

Stopped at my local hobby shop, picked up a railpower 1300 (new in box) and some Atlas HO scale track for my Thomas model The railpower didn't work, so I called the shop, they had me come in and exchange it for the other one they had (also new in box) It didn't work either ;w;

Honestly if I go with O scale I'm probably just gonna use Fastrack because I like the look of it more than tubular Plus with wider curves I can run more stuff (not that I'd plan on getting any excessively big engines) Idk I've got time to think about it because the set I want isn't out yet anyway
