I hit Chicago for the first time right before Christmas. I got there at night, took the train, and as I come up the stairs from the station huge fat perfect style snowflakes start falling There’s Christmas lights everywhere, people are nice to me on the street, and somehow I could see stars too

This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me, Ilona Andrews. Written by a het couple, so potentially I could say I didn’t break my streak on a technicality? The longer i think about the book, though, the more mad I am that i finished it. 3/5 at its absolute best points, ranging from-1/5 to 2/5 throughout

Bébé is still not doing great despite his increased pain meds, and is currently getting opiates in addition to his usual pile I’m working with his vet to get him comfortable, and it is possible. Just like people, getting the mix right can be complicated and it’s no fun at all 😔
