The Albanese govt’s first term was the second most secretive on record. Rather than changing their ways, they’re doubling down and tightening our FOI system to make it even harder to get information. Not a single expert or member of parliament outside of the Labor party has backed their new bill.

Keir Starmer's aides are reportedly telling him not to go to the COP30 climate conference, because Reform would attack him for it. Yes, they might. And he should wear it as a badge of honour. Standing up for humanity, for science and a habitable planet. Where's the hazard in that?

The Govt just set a 2035 emissions reduction target of 62–70%. That’s below science & flies in the face of the duty we have to protect the people & places we love. State commitments have 🇦🇺 headed for ~70%. This lowers the bar & makes it harder to push for more global ambition.

A safe climate needs a minimum of 75% target. This sets Australians on the more dangerous risk trajectory of climate impacts, identified in the government’s very own risk assessment released earlier this week.

The Cheaper Home Batteries Program means solar households can get 30% off the upfront cost of installing a battery. That’s approx $4000 off an average system. This is a sensible step I have long called for. It will help lower power bills, reduce emissions & support the stability of our energy grid.
