A curlew sandpiper, with its elegantly curved bill, landing at Bald Hill Beach a couple of seasons ago. Curlew sandpipers are listed as critically endangered here in Australia. They will be returning soon from their northern hemisphere breeding grounds & I do hope they are not hit hard by bird flu.

It’s not rocket science. We’re in a climate crisis. Life only gets worse from here on it we do not deliberately, actively, dramatically act to cut fossil fuel emissions as quickly as possible. We must electrify everything. Go 100%+ renewables. STOP BURNING FOSSIL FUELS. THESE ARE THE COOL YEARS!

It makes zero sense to deploy any new fossil-fuelled anything. Just build renewable infrastructure. Methane gas as a transition fuel was 2 decades ago, not now, & since then we've found gas creates way more emissions than previously known.
