Opponent gave the smug "Oops" emoticon not realizing he'd walked right into my trap and then scooped at 46 life three turns later with an empty board and no cards in hand.

E is for Estrid, my favorite enchantments deck! Of note, @scottlarabee.bsky.social worked on the Commander 2018/Adaptive Enchantment deck she was in. Thanks Scott!!

Haven’t shared my current reading in a while. About halfway through this 1975 collection of C.L. Moore’s stories, a woman pioneer of speculative fiction. Great stuff!

Sigh. The only card I’d like is the sweet Maize of Ith that I’d have to spend $200 on cards I don’t want to get 😂

I know the Triomes came along and overshadowed them, but I think it's worth remembering how freaking awesome these original tri-lands were for color fixing back in the early days of EDH. I still play with these in my decks.

This card, and particularly this art, just makes me happy 😍

Just added Willie Lumpkin, I really love the game play it encourages. Looking forward to asking my future pods "who wants mail??"

I think this is a sweet card. Who’s got it in a deck?

Assuming this doesn't end up costing a fortune to pick up, I'm definitely interested in brewing a nongreen landfall deck. I'm definitely NOT interested in trying to go the combo route, with only bonkers/oppressive high mana creatures in the deck, I'm just going to have a bunch of sweet creatures.

Here are my decks I’m looking to sell or dismantle for parts in my grand quest to downsize. If anyone is interested in possibly buying one let me know and I’ll load it into @archidekt.com to review. @packcrackfever.bsky.social

Every once in a very blue moon, the Arena shuffler will bring the noise with Reclamation Sage, Silverback Elder, and Kogla against an artifact heavy deck like Iron Man.

One of my first stabs at a competitive Magic deck in 1994/95 was G/W with mana critters, Force of Nature & Armageddon. I used Spirit Link to offset the damage from the Force. I thought I was pretty clever cooking this up, but Swords to Plowshares quickly educated me this was not a great plan LOL

So for Magic Spotlight: The Hobbit, which is Modern, I've only seen this card from The Hobbit, in Tron. Are there any other new cards that have broken through in Modern?

This art never fails to bring an actual LOL, that "TOOT!" is just comedy gold next to Doom's proclamation

As big a fan of Golgari, I'd never built a Savra deck because I hate the play patterns that Grave Pact effects have on #CMDR games... until Witherbloom's "life gain matters" cards came around. Plus this new artwork for Savra were so cool; I built the deck with only green creatures (except Savra).

Working on picking up a few more cards for my Middle-earth Dwarf deck, and Dain of the Ancient Halls looks like the perfect finisher... except for that 💰, YIKES!!!!

I have Ur-Dragon built with lots of changelings & lords, Atraxa in Space with a bunch of station cards, and Azula as my one mean deck, but she might get dismantled because I don’t like playing mean 😂

Just finished this, Roger Zelazny’s last published novel before his untimely death. His Amber novels are on my list of all-time favorites, and the snappy dialogue in Lonesome October reminds me of the Amber novels. This book was whimsical & fun, grateful to have stumbled across it!

I've somehow managed to tick off all but one of the Magic Arena color mastery achievements. What's left? Take You With Me in black. Yikes, that's a tough one. I built a Sephiroth deck that should be able to check this off, but everyone scoops long before the sixth sacrifice LOL

Have any of the new Hobbit legends inspired you to build a brand new #CMDR deck? Me, I’ve built Tom, Bert, and William along with The Notary Hobbits.

Wendy & I made the outing & had great fun! Made a deep run with Tempest which was satisfying, and got my initials (I use BEN) on Joust (20th) and Donkey Kong FIRST PLACE (though I only made 3rd level 😂). Turns out my baby is a Skeeball shark 😂. Also played Gauntlet & the OG Mario Bros

It's wild that NINE of the 13 cards banned in Standard are in the Izzet colors and yet there are still enough high powered cards in U/R to power Spellementals, Jeskai Lessons, & 4C-Control. I'm very curious what lessons R&D has taken from this Standard era of hyper-efficient cheap blue & red spells
