Two very different buildings today. A 208 year old church building that has seen plenty over the years. Home to Life Church Edinburgh it serves its community fully. Great to walk alongside their plans. And then The Scottish Parliament... ! #freelancelife #churchbuildingdevelopment #missionplanning

Well done to these fantastic pupils from @stfrancisp7.bsky.social who represented our school at mass for the season of creation . They read the bidding prayers which had been written by their class, showing great awareness and care for our common home.

17 years ago I said this on my FB profile. Even back then, I was looking at how we can do and be church differently. And I now know of a couple of churches who are doing this very thing. Need some help to think outside the box? Drop me a message! #churchmissiondevelopment #churchbuildingdevelopment

1/2 Whether you're a fan of musical theatre or not, you absolutely need to see this show. Not cos I'm in it - that's the last reason to come! But because it is simply stunning. It's probably the best, and certainly the most powerful, piece of theatre I've ever been involved with. ......

So much opportunity is being missed by a very narrow plan. Every effort should be made to keep these buildings as community resources even if the Church of Scotland can't make use of them anymore.

At last nights #socialenterprise cross party group meeting at the Scottish Parliament, I raised the issue of new community groups struggle to access bank accounts as they don't fit the model. If we're really serious about communities taking on assets, the #banking sector needs to catch up quickly
