glancing at my growing pile of art projects

2018 twitter post from user artyintheuk that's had some text edited over some of the original. it says "if I say I'm going to draw something and I don't it's not that I lied it's just that I failed"

I definitely want jets and mecha in my rogue trader story, so Dozy needs a flight suit. I dunno if I have it down yet, but the rogueish bodysuit and half jacket is a good start.

also sorry for the radio silence again, the Satisfactory bug bit me hard enough to actually boot up the game and sink all my time into it just hit a point where i'm mostly waiting for stuff to build now so i might do some art stuff while that's going on.

considering maybe possibly posting (most of) my future nsfw stuff here instead of my dedicated alt. idk exactly why tbh. might be good to have stuff in one place, but it might be better to keep them separate. if i could set up a poll i'd be curious to see what people think without comments lol

i have no "art style", i have a loose collection of various artistic aesthetic choices i've like that i've cobbled together over the y- huh what's that wait you're telling me that's what an "art style" is?

I have this ongoing thing where I want my drukhari character to be cute in a classic anime way. Like, still very much a Dark Eldar but cute.

Eventually, I get to also play in a Changeling the Lost game! Finally got to make an honest to god WoD changeling. I'm excited. #art | #ocs | #dagmar | #ttrpg | #CtL

Reference sheet for Dagmar (formerly Sophie), who was changed into a Darkling for a massive and cruel fae circus called Under Painted Hills.

On the left, her human mask: Red-headed woman with thick dark circular shades dressed like a beatnik of the 60s (the time period she's from)

On the right, her mien. Her true form: A tall, slender, living jester doll with an emotive white mask and elongated ears poking out

I know CtL changelings start looking more human but we all went funky with it shh. I plan on investing into Wyrd anyway.

letting my ambition get the better of me again lol, working on a cover for a project i've been on-off detailing out for about a year or two.

a very rough sketch for the cover of something, showing a quartet of people fighting offscreen opponents while near a dune buggy car thing. one figure is a small woman with a pistol and an outstretched arm, likely using some kinda space magic, another is a robot with two guns (revolver and shotgun) and a duster and big cowboy hat, another is a giant man with a circular saw/axe thing and a gas mask, and the last is a woman with a rifle or shotgun crouched at the front. at the top is the title 'The Outlands'.

I've had this stupid idea for months and I finally have an excuse to take a little time to put it into the world #makeaterriblecomicday2026

comic, 6 panels
Panel 1: Boone Falloutnewvegas looking out from behind a rock. BOONE: "...Yeah."
Panel 2: A shot of a desert canyon with four small figures approaching on the horizon. BOONE (off panel): "That's a legionary hit squad." OTHER VOICE (off panel): "Well, shit."
Panel 3: Robin wearing desert ranger armor digs through a backpack while Boone keeps watching around the rock. ROBIN: "Lemme get out the good chems: Slasher, Med-X, Ultrajet, Turbo, Estrogen."
Panel 4: Boone turns away from the rock. BOONE: "What was that last one?"
Panel 5: Robin pauses.
Panel 6: Robin answers. ROBIN: "...Turbo." LEGIONARY (off panel): "The Caesar has marked you for death, and the Legion obeys!"

like when i first watched it it was fantastic but one of the pivotal moments (spoilers for a 8yo show: catra and adora kissing) felt a little sudden, albeit it still felt right, but having just watched it knowing what was gonna happen it's like, oh, yeah no that was building up since episode 1

CommodoreSigma @commodoresigma.bsky.social · 24/06/2026

man i forgot how good the she-ra reboot is. hell it's better on a second watch cuz i can actually pick up on things i sort of missed the first time around and could see things building up (and also watching too much of the original just before this rewatch helped me pick up on some cute details)
