This is such a fascinating shot of the Adventureland entrance from the 50s to me. This little side waterway/stream and walkway around it looks lovely. Pre-tiki room and Tahitian Terrace complex. CHECK OUT THAT SIDE BRIDGE!

#MuppetShow: General audiences loved it, die-hard Muppet obsessives (hi there!) loved it, critics loved it, and yet there are still nebulous "creative differences" behind the scenes. They did the impossible and made something almost everyone loved...except the executives.

I was a little worried it was going to be like "Channel Zero, " which was ostensibly about Candle Cove, but only had about 5 mins of puppet footage (at most). This film spends a lot of time in Buddy's world, and it's all the better for it.

Just had a great time at #Buddy. Far more practical effects than I was anticipating, which is always welcome! The people behind this one clearly did their research. Not just of Barney, but also things like "Wee Sing," "Pee-Wee's Playhouse, "The Puzzle Place," etc. Lots of fun!

Recent films have put more emphasis on villains being more misunderstood than just "bad guys," but the general public keeps painting everything in black and white, with little understanding of nuance. Is there a correlation or am I just trying to find links where there are none?

As if the Super Mario Bros 3 Happy Meal from 1990 wasn't already legendary enough - one of the other concepts McDonald's considered was this Mad Ball-style King Koopa "Fireball Blaster." This would've been one of the greatest Happy Meal toys of all time if produced.

(2/2) The scene would be revised in the final movie. The junkyard sequence would be split into an escape from a junkshop and then a more cinematic climax in the actual junkyard.

Concept art for #TheBraveLittleToaster. This appears to be an earlier version of the movie that helmed closer to the book. The book features a scene where Toaster rallies the crew in the junkyard to save the Radio, who's been taken by the junkman. (1/2)

According to this concept art, the sight of the most traumatic moment in #TheLionKing is the Oldavi Gorge, meaning the movie takes place in Tanzania. It could also mean that it was merely inspired by the Oldavi Gorge, but it's interesting either way.

It's really a testament to just how good this cereal's original run was that it didn't need a mascot. No elves, no tiger, no toucan, just a turquoise box containing the world's tastiest cereal.
