This is a sad wee post to let you know that I've made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming Zine Clubs and our HalloZine Fair for this year.

Over the past few months, I've realised that I've been trying to push through more than I should. Between living with a chronic illness, recovering from surgery, and dealing with burnout, I've been struggling more than I admitted to myself. I've reached the point where I need to be a bit more realistic about what I can manage, and that means reducing the number of in-person events I'm committing to.

This wasn't an easy decision to make, especially because I genuinely love meeting you all in person. I still absolutely want to continue doing events, and we have events already booked in for this year that I am still looking forward to, but I need to be a little more selective for now so that I can take better care of myself and make sure that when I do show up, I can give those events the energy they deserve, as well as making sure I can catch up with the zines that I am a little behind on.

I'm really sorry to anyone who was planning to come, and I hope you understand. Thank you, as always, for your support - it means more than you know, and I'm looking forward to seeing you at future events when I'm able.

on my propagation bullshit again, an oldie but a goodie from @coinoppress.bsky.social

a leaf from the world's saddest succulent, picked up from the floor of a Lowe's, starts to propagate tiny new leaves

From Coin-Operated Press' Gardening Zine:

When I go to Home Depot, or Stop & Shop, or wherever else there's a sad little garden section with those sad little succulents in their sad little pots that people love to give as gifts because they're just so low maintenance, but not that low maintenance because for fuck's sake they still need sun, and without it their little succulent petals start dropping off as they stretch in search of a window and when you pick them up it's not really stealing because they're just gonna get swept into the trash anyway and if anyone really cared they might think twice about letting them get this bad, so I pocket a few or twist off some of the ones that are about to go any day and I make a promise that someone will help their children grow.
