Yeah, I'm still really enjoying it and Mary is very cute. I think it's just made more for a younger audience who maybe haven't ventured out into the world yet and it's telling them "Just hold on, even if you don't fit in at home there's a whole world out there for you" which isn't a bad thing.

It's such a "You're not awkward, actually you're the specialist girl in the whole wide world and everyone wants to marry you except circumstances prevent them". Like having some of the realities of being an awkward young woman seem more relatable but maybe I'm not the target audience.

I started watching The Other Bennett Sister. It's pretty good but it suffers a bit from Mary not actually being treated like an awkward person but a fascinating genius by everybody except the nastiest of bullies. It's a bit un-nuanced, or feels that way on my first impression.
