The company was acquired by a private equity firm. They are cutting corners every chance they get and are waiting out the clock on the one year warranty. She was sold a lemon that has required nearly monthly warranty service calls for a year. And they will get away with it.

Had a call with my mom yesterday and it divulged into me explaining private equity. She had her HVAC replaced last year and her heat this winter—a notably cold one in Virginia—has not been consistently working. She’s taken to going to the neighbors when her heat goes out.
