ok, so you need to go to rendering settings and turn on raytracing, then go to your material properties > settings > raytraced transmission and turn that on. eevee is weird.

Go to material settings and up the transparency. If you're using EEVEE it won't look right immediately so you've gotta go into the renderer settings and enable some stuff. Gimme half an hour and I can hop on blender to help lol.
