Last week, I visited the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, and the experience had a lasting impact. It drove home how much many Canadians still don’t understand about the violence inflicted on Indigenous peoples, its lasting legacy, and how colonization continues to manifest in this country today.
A picture of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg. The picture is of the interior of the second floor where there is an exhibition called “Reclaiming Power and Place” featuring the Red Dress project.

Thank you Day Madison for this graphic! Anti-racism can’t stop at proximity. It has to reach the language we use, how we lead, invest, build institutions, define success, and move through the world. For me, the work is about decolonizing every area of life.

We could reduce US fossil-fuel pollution (climate & local air/water) ~25% by cleaning up the grid, ~25% by electrifying ground transport, and ~25% by electrifying heat (for space/water/food/many industrial processes). The last ~25% - everything else - is important but no reason not to do the 75%.

This is long and
important and many hands are needed to save a multigenerational home from foreclosure.
I'm making a go fund me as well but the need here is immediate. It's large. But it affects a multi-generational Indigenous family that has fought tirelessly for community and who needs community now to show back up.
You know I don't ask unless it's needed. I can't share specific for safety reasons, but it involves documents that were hidden/shredded by a family member experiencing memory loss- and it wasn't found until now due to other family emergencies unfolding.
$8,000 is the immediate need to get this house off the auction block. It is needed by Monday. The family is pursuing every available resource and you know how few those are.
I will be donating 25% of what I make this weekend. I will be making deals left and right. I'll be having a raffle for some great shit from my personal. Tickets are $10 ea - every penny will go to this cause.

Have we discussed what Ben Goertzel, the man who popularized the term Artificial General Intelligence (the thing all these doomsday cults need to build and also stop from becoming evil 🙄) said that when he builds his super brain there won't be the types of girls who accused Epstein of rape?
“According to my understanding, the girls you were involved with were old enough to know what they were doing, so society really has no ‘moral right’ to lock you up,” Goertzel wrote to Epstein. “This is a fucked-up society we live in. But past ones have really been no better — the fault is really w/ the human brain architecture, which is precisely what I’m aiming to supercede in my AGI work.”
