What a hard travel day it has been. Amtrak was delayed 7 hours with us on the train (FLG to LAX). We’re not even there yet either. In the train yard but not there yet and stopped. No AC for hours, 5am wake up after they had to put the car I was in out of service and move us.

This would give Trump the trigger he wants. Also - With so much federal funding already cut, Walz may be trying to keep the state's internal gears turning as long as possible to avoid total collapse before he makes a big next stand. Just something to mull over as we think through demands.

Two things I’m thinking about re a SIP - If Walz calls a Shelter-in-Place to protect residents from ICE violence, the feds will likely frame it as "Obstruction of Federal Justice." They could argue he is using state emergency powers to harbor "fugitives" by preventing agents from moving freely.

Tucker James turns 10 today … and it’s the first birthday since Hannah Milo passed away. He’s such a good boy - before Hannah passed, he took such care of his sister, he was so happy-go-lucky, and he loved to bounce. Now he’s much more quiet - the grief remains almost a year later for all of us.
