Small, slightly belligerent cows. One might even say it takes one to know one 👀😜 #cows #dexters

It was great - the grandkids love it. I’ve been going there since I was a kid and it still has good old seaside brashness and charm in equal measure. The weather helped too.

🙏🏻 fine thank you- had a holiday in Whitby, now trying to decorate, car MOT, dentist etc etc - busy with all sorts of boring stuff 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sorry not been around much recently- but I do have some nice cloudage to share from earlier this evening @lakesstiles.bsky.social #clouds #weather

Weird clouds that look almost like a flock of birds or bats

That is quite some explanation and I may have to finish it tomorrow as my eyes are growing heavy… But thank you anyway 🙏🏻

The lowest of the low @lakesstiles.bsky.social I don’t think I’ve seen one quite like this before 🤔 You could just about see both ends of it #rainbow #clouds #weather

That should read ‘first’ go of course 🙄 Mind you I’ve felt like waving my fist at the map a few times for failing to tell me where I am 😅

Hard to imagine now how busy the canals used to be with goods being transported. I should think you had to mind your step on the tow paths where the horses had been 😬

Got to say, they have to be one of my favourite types of cloud. Apart from helm bars of course 🙂

More or less, but I do find invisible air flow and the associated complexities quite taxing on the brain. If it all becomes too much there’s always ‘that cloud looks like an elephant’ for a bit of light relief 😄

Glad to hear it. I’m still trying to properly understand how lenticulars form. Got the basics, but otherwise happy to just enjoy the show 😎

I believe Clacton deserves an MP who will spend their time shining a light on everything the area has to offer. And why wait till I'm elected? I've been to visit one of the constituency's most stunning landmarks.

If you know deep down you won’t use it again and it’s stressful to keep it, then send it to a good home and focus on the things you CAN do. If there’s still a chance, and the stuff isn’t getting in your way, keep it. So speaketh the wise old lady. Well, I’m definitely one of those things at least 🙄

A rather fine cloud over the North Pennines today @lakesstiles.bsky.social but it isn’t a helm bar because it was a south westerly today #clouds #weather

Whole Earth peanut butter in a ‘drizzler’ 👎🏻I like the brand and am ok giving it a good stir rather than have it emulsified. Doable in a jar but really awkward with the drizzler so you just end up with oiled bread. Plus it’s a plastic container, not glass. Here endeth today’s consumer advice.

The other night I dreamt I was digging up potatoes. First there were lots of small ones, then there were giant potatoes, and then I woke up. Is there a potato dreams virus going round?

Saddened by the news our friend Bill Oddie has passed away. We spent many happy days birding with Bill on his beloved Fair Isle and here in Shetland and his books in the 1980s inspired us and a generation of young birders. Since then he has inspired millions to appreciate nature. A true legend.

I absolutely love that film. I’m hopeless at remembering quotes though. The upside is I can rewatch multiple times and there’s always something fresh 😅
