@tutty352.bsky.social visited the dig at Carlisle Cricket club yesterday - they’ve uncovered a very nice piece of wall. Today is the last day for a while and much of it will be filled in again. So many finds indicating it was a very important place yet they seem to struggle with funding 🤷🏻‍♀️

Stringy rolls here today - a local delicacy 😉 That helm wind is 🥶 after you’ve just started getting used to a bit of warmth from the sun!

Share a photo of mountains that you’ve taken

Looking along a road in winter that has some bare hedge and trees on either side and snow, but not on the road which is dark. There is a line of small red and white traffic bollards to the left of the road. Directly ahead is a mountain that is covered in snow. Bright sunshine casts many shadows on it. The cloudless sky is deep blue. The mountain is called Blencathra, also known as Saddleback because of its distinctive shape.

Unexpected sunset after a damp and dismal day #clouds #lenticular

In the foreground, and low in the photo, is a field with some grazing sheep dotted about. It is dusk and large trees are silhouetted on either side against a dark blue-grey cloudless sky. Just above the trees there is a huge golden yellow full moon. It looks big because it is still relatively near the horizon.
