continued from page 2, Deirdre and Aestre continue their conversation about the young kabouter Zöe, who last we saw was being nabbed by a mysterious hand into a magic portal.
the two older women are sitting on a small couch talking while Thomas, a short stout bald man cuddles up next to Aestre, fast asleep.
Deirdre says, "i am sorry to bring it up, but Zöe-"
"if it were anyone else" interrupts Aestre, "i'd dismiss their words, but Zöe knows something." she continues "the few survivors [the Fomorians mentioned on the previous page] fled to this world where the humans called them Dragons- and the humans destroyed them as monsters. i suppose i could take solace in the fact that humans are so much more effecient at murder than i ever could be"
