@staffsbirdnews.bsky.social Normality returns to Radford Meadows, Stafford, which is well flooded. 0830-1015hrs 4 pintail, 2 ruff that flew off south , 49 lapwing, 12 gadwall, 2 shoveler, 2 snipe in flight, 26 teal, yellow wagtail and 1 little egret.

You need to attract the swifts to the nest boxes, so it needs to have an amp and speaker set up. There was no easy power point so I made the solar set up behind a south facing window🤞

@westmidbirdclub.bsky.social Stafford Swift Project team fitted 8 swift boxes with a solar charger in St. Austin’s Church, Wolverhampton Road, Stafford. It is a hotspot for nesting swifts, so hoping for some success. Thanks to WMBC for sponsorship of the swift project.

1600hrs Three of four Russian whitefront, at Roseford, south of Radford Meadows. As we watched a large flock flew over calling and the four birds calked and took off joining them. A further flock flew past and a total of 171 RWfg landed and counted on Radford Meadows @staffsbirdnews.bsky.social
