In other news, after getting a proper steering wheel for pc from ebay, I had several dolls ask me to teach them how to drive. Fittingly, there's a BeamNG map of an old industrial site and a 1992 Honda Civic knockoff, so I can teach them the same way my mom taught me. Just now, like, digital.

Talking with young trans folk I was dumbfounded when they criticized stories there the queer protagonist looses or dies in the end. I'm the kind that watches a monster movie, identifies with the monster and goes "yeah, I might not win in the end, but I can be powerful and amazing until then" but 1/2

It's the website liked in the post. It shows a map of germany, austria, and switzerland. There are pointers on the places with gay train enthusiast clubs. The clubs and their logos are seen next to the map on what looks like train destination plates. The overall design with the blue map and the light grey background as well as the 800x600 resolution make it look very 90s.

I did some research and found out that the (straight) german model train scene stayed homophobic to the end. And it's dead now. The gays are still running clubs they founded in the 1990s, trans women are on reddit and germany's equivalent of Susan's place (ffs). There's a lesson in there somewhere.

Today I channeled my inner Victoria Scott and had a photoshoot with my friend @strayzoey.bsky.social and her awesome, self-assembled, thoroughly customized Honda CRX. I'm too lazy for photoshop, here are some of the photos some straight from the card:

In honoring a german tradition, I brought a (vegan) Mettigel to a buffet yesterday. I made it from rice wafers and tomato paste (plus onions, oil, salt and pepper ofc.).

A buffet table. Closeup on a lump of what looks like (but in my case isn't) raw meat with onions. Its top side is pierced by pretzel sticks, meant to imitate a hedgehog's spikes. two green grapes as eyes and a half pretzel stick as snout on the front give it the appearance of a very cursed ceature.

Idea for a show: You visit a city you've never been to, but you can only use a tourist guide several decades out of date. I had this experience with a tourist guide from 1990 in eastern germany and it was kinda fun, ngl. Turns out the Marx bust was still there, the "free german youth" hostel not.
